Most SMS providers sit on top of someone else's SMPP link and sell you an HTTP API on top of it. TXTImpact runs its own SMPP gateway, with connections that can also speak UCP/EMI, CIMD2, and HTTP where a carrier needs it — so you're not one reseller layer removed from the network.
